He received the Invited Artist Award at the Tokyo Asia Contemporary Art Exhibition (Japan) and was invited to exhibit at the Korean Cultural Center in New York. He received the Grand Prize at the 32nd YeChong Arts and Culture Awards. He formerly served as the President of the Korean Landscape Painting Association and the President of the Ohwoo Association. He serves as an Advisor for the Korean Fine Arts Association (KFAA), an Advisor for the Professional Artists Association, and an Advisor for the Contemporary Korean Painting Association. He is an Arts Committee Member for the International PEN Club Korean Center and a Finance Committee Member for the Korean Writers Association. His publications include Korean Landscape Painting Theory and Practice and 22 other books. He is the Chairman of the Board for the Korean Gukjeon Artists Association.
