He is the recipient of the Gyeongbuk Fine Arts Exhibition Special Invited Artist Award and the Daegu Fine Arts Exhibition Invited Artist Award. He holds the title of Advanced Artist (Senior Fine Artist) from the Oriental Art Promotion Association in Shandong Province, China.
